"Accept, O Lord, my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding, and my will. All that I am and have Thou has given me; and I give all back to Thee to be disposed of according to Thy good pleasure. Give me only the comfort of Thy presence and joy of Thy love; with these I shall be more than rich and shall desire nothing more."
I referenced this prayer briefly yesterday during my presentation, so I thought I would post it here for reference. It is entitled, An Oblation of Self.
I am not sure I can say it honestly quite yet, but I hope someday to be able to. I wonder what this prayer means? What does it entail?

What was your presentation about?
Certainly seems to debunk the whole freewill theory :P
Is "identity" (i.e. memory, will) a result of the sinful nature? The prayer certainly is an example of "denying self", but can you ever go too far down that road? Does Jesus ever call us to give up our identity?
My presentation was about martyrdom, specifically in defense of white martyrdom. Eusebius, much fun reading. :)
And as to anonymous, I think there are some distinctions that need to be made, but I will have to answer a bit later!
